It is Ruler's Noble Phantasm, a crystallized conceptual weapon that reinterprets her burning at the stake as an attack. It is classified as a suicide type weapon, ranked C while sheathed and EX once activated, and using it costs Jeanne her life after the battle ends.

She throws the sword upward and catches it by the end of the blade, which causes the flower at the pommel to bloom and sends the flames outward. The recited line is a death poem: "O' Lord, I entrust this body to you." The flames only consume what she consciously intends to destroy.

The blade Ruler carries serves as the catalyst for La Pucelle, and the series describes it as the Sword of St. Catherine, a sword she never swung once in her lifetime. The reference is historical. Jeanne directed that a blade be recovered from behind the altar at the church of Sainte-Catherine-de-Fierbois, and she maintained that she carried her banner rather than fought.
