In the Lands Between, House Marais were the family of executioners who held the Shaded Castle, and their storied sword carries the weight of that office. It is counted among the nine legendary armaments, weapons said to hold the power of the lands themselves.

Yes. The etched, blood stained finish is part of the metal and is meant to be there. Do not try to scrub it off. Dust the blade and wipe it with a dry cloth to keep it looking the way it arrived.

How does the size compare to other greatswords?

It is 47 inches overall with a 33.25 inch blade, right in the range of most two hand display swords. The 13.75 inch handle leaves room for two hands, which is how the real weapon is meant to be held.

Is the blade sharp?
