Sting Sword is a blade bestowed upon Frodo Baggins by his cousin Bilbo, the original Ring bearer. Tasked with the monumental quest to cast the Ring into the fires of Mount Doom, Frodo, along with the chosen Fellowship, embarks on a perilous journey. To aid him in his quest, Bilbo entrusts Sting, a weapon crafted by the Elves of old, to Frodo's care. Bilbo himself wielded Sting during his encounter with Gollum, where he first obtained the Ring.
