Inspired by the series Demon Slayer, the Tanjiro V2 knife features a striking black and silver blade with black and red handles. It includes a metal safety latch to securely lock the blade in place, both when not in use and when deployed.

Also known as a Balisong or Butterfly knife, this folding pocket knife has two handles that counter-rotate around the tang, concealing the blade within the handles when closed. Butterfly knives are particularly useful in situations where using both hands to open a knife is inconvenient. Please ensure you check your local laws regarding the possession and import of these knives.

Frequently asked questions

What material is the butterfly knife made from?

Tanjiro’s New Nichirin Butterfly Knife is crafted from stainless steel, combining durability with anime-accurate design elements. It’s built as a collectible piece with a sleek, detailed finish.

Is the blade sharp?

No, the blade is unsharpened and completely blunt. It’s made for safe handling, display, cosplay, and practice, not for real cutting or combat.

How long is the knife when opened?

The knife measures approximately 9 inches when fully extended. Its compact form makes it easy to carry, pose with, or display in a collection.

Is this knife spring-loaded or assisted?

No, it’s a traditional manual butterfly knife. It opens and closes using standard flipping mechanics and does not feature automatic or spring-assist action.

What makes this version “new”?

This design is a modernized interpretation of Tanjiro’s Nichirin Blade, featuring refined details and updated aesthetics based on later appearances in the Demon Slayer series. The colors and engravings may differ slightly from earlier versions.

Can I use it for cosplay?

Yes! It’s lightweight, safe, and styled specifically for cosplay. It’s a perfect accessory for Tanjiro-themed costumes at conventions, meetups, or anime events.

Is this good for butterfly knife practice?

Yes, the blunt blade and solid balance make it a safe choice for beginners or fans interested in learning butterfly knife tricks with an anime-themed twist.

Who is this knife best suited for?

It’s ideal for Demon Slayer fans, Tanjiro enthusiasts, anime collectors, and anyone who appreciates unique, anime-styled butterfly knives.

Is this considered a toy?

No, this is a collector’s replica meant for teens and adults. While safe to handle, it’s not a toy and should be kept away from children.

How do I care for the butterfly knife?

Wipe it down with a soft, dry cloth after use. If flipping regularly, consider adding a drop of lubricant to the hinge. Always store in a dry environment to maintain the blade’s finish.
