The God Killer Sword is a 40" display replica of the blade Wonder Woman carries out of Themyscira, built around an embossed stainless steel blade and a detailed gold handle. A black faux leather sheath is included. The embossed patterning runs the length of the blade and the gold hilt detailing carries the Themysciran styling, making it a recognizable centerpiece for collectors, costume builds, and wall display.

The God Killer was a gift from the gods to the Amazons, kept in a tower on Themyscira alongside the rest of the divine armory rather than carried into any fight. Diana takes it because she believes it is the only thing that can slay Ares, and the first half of her journey rests entirely on that assumption.

The assumption does not hold. She drives the blade through General Ludendorff believing him to be the God of War, and the war does not stop. When the real Ares appears, he destroys the sword almost completely, and in doing so delivers the point of the whole object. The weapon was never the God Killer. Diana was.

That reversal is why the sword matters. It is a beautifully made piece of a story about mistaking the instrument for the person holding it, and the Sword of Athena only replaces it once the lesson has landed.
