Most Powerful Seven Deadly Sins Weapons - Ranked
If there’s one thing that makes Seven Deadly Sins stand out, it’s the long line of powerful characters, each of them capable of reducing their opponents to dust. Though the characters are equipped with out-of-the-world abilities, they’ve also got a range of crazy powerful weapons in their arsenal. From Diane's Gideon to Gloxinia’s Basquias, here are the most powerful seven deadly sins weapons.
#10 Gideon
Starting off with Diane’s Sacred Treasure, the War Hammer Gideon is massive, a perfect match for a member of the Giant Race. She lost it temporarily and the hammer was featured as one of the two rewards during the Vaizel Fight Festival but Diane has since then been reunited with the hammer.
With the Gideon in her hand, Diane is able to execute stronger attacks like shooting a mountain-sized boulder in the air. She can also absorb magic and direct it to the Earth. However anyone unlucky enough to be in the impact zone will likely sustain damage.
#9 Rhitta
Moving on, we have Escanor's Divine Axe, Rhitta. Without Rhitta, Escanor is nothing as the battle ax is capable of absorbing the Lion’s Sin of Pride’s excess heat, preventing him and others around from a gruesome death. The crescent moon-shaped blade resembles Monk’s spade and comes with a small handle. Though an unbalanced physique, Escanor is able to maneuver the ax freely, a testament to his overwhelming strength.
Escanor typically keeps the ax stowed away in the wall inside his cave. However, he’s able to summon it from anywhere. More importantly, he can release his stored energy from Rhitta at a word’s command. In fact, Escanor is able to maintain his day-night form even during the night thanks to the ax’s power-storing abilities.
#8 Aldan
Merlin’s Aldan is another powerful contender from the series. The crystal orb is often seen floating beside Merlin. Though many of the orb’s abilities remain a mystery, Merlin is able to use it with her telekinesis, spying on locations that she normally wouldn’t be able to.
But what’s even more impressive is that Merlin is able to transfer her soul into the orb, avoiding death or critical damage in case of a lethal attack by an opponent. She can also channel her spells like Exterminate Ray through the orb.
#7 Dragon Handle
Next up, we have Meliodas’ Dragon Handle which features a broken blade attached to a dragon looking hilt. Helbram later used it to complete the Coffin and unseal the Demon Clan. However, after the New Holy War, the fragment of the Coffin of Eternal Darkness fell into the hands of Percival.
What sets the weapon apart from others is its unique ability to call upon a dragon-like creature, visibly only to unlucky victims.
#6 Excalibur
Wielded by the king of the Kingdom of Camelot, Arthur Pendragon, the Holy Sword Excalibur is not to be underestimated. Originally, Excalibur was in the form of a broadsword with a very wide blade. But once Arthur awakened as the King of Chaos, the sword attained its second form.
As far as its abilities are concerned, the Excalibur doesn’t allow just anyone to harness its power. Only chosen ones have that privilege. Imbued with the souls of all its previous wielders, Arthur is able to use the sword to take down Cusack, Chandler, and Meliodas. Other notable abilities include the Death Pecker which upon activation unleashes a series of rapid lunges and Mumyo no Mai which takes care of all kinds of surprise attacks.
#5 Courechouse
The Courechouse is yet another sacred treasure wielded by Fox's Sin of Greed, Ban. The ornate four-section-staff was stolen when the Seven Deadly Sins disbanded 10 years ago from Ban as he was taken prisoner by the Weird Fangs.
Like the other sacred treasures, the Courechouse allows Ban to perform at his best during the most intense battles. He can change the length of the chains on a whim. But Super Concentration is the real ace up Ban’s sleeves as it draws out his physical and mental capabilities to the fullest.
#3 Lostvayne
Meliodas' Lostvayne is easily one of the most powerful weapons in Seven Deadly Sins. The curved short sword is the result of Dubs’ genius, a well-respected craftsman of the Giant Clan. The blade landed in Meliodas's hands, thanks to King Barta. However, when he needed to raise money to open the Boar Hat, Meliodas ended up selling Lostvayne. He got it back from Merlin during the Albion's attack on Camelot.
The sword’s abilities can be activated upon saying the words, “Sacred Treasure Activate.” Meliodas can then use the Jitsuzo Bunshin ability which allows him to create several clones of himself. However, the clones only receive half of the original power.
#2 Chastiefol
Next up is King’s mighty Chastiefol. Fans might be the most familiar with this sacred weapon since it was the first to make its appearance in the series. What makes the spear stand out is its incredible power.
For reference, King has little power on his own. The only reason he’s able to dominate battles is thanks to Chastiefol. The holy weapon was crafted from the Sacred Tree that can only be found in the Fairy Realm. More importantly, the Chasetiefol can take on ten different forms but in the series, fans may have mostly seen it as a green pillow.
Moreover, the spear is capable of regenerating itself even when split into two pieces.
#1 Basquias
However, when it comes to the most powerful weapon in Seven Deadly Sins, there’s no beating the Basquias. Crafted from the wood of the tree in the Fairy Realm, the weapon is imbued with the powers of the Sacred Tree.
Like Chastiefol, Basquias is capable of taking on ten different forms with each form serving a unique purpose. However, fans might be most familiar with the eighth form of the weapon, a green octopus-like version. Other forms include the Basquias, Guardian with the Necrosis ability, the Yggdra Armor, the Moon Rose with the Inochi no Shizuku ability, Death Thorn, and Emerald Octo.
